OCTOBER 15, 2012 - QUOTE: Did Mitt Romney train Chinese workers to take American jobs at Freeport, Illinois based Sensata Technologies? No, but he may as well have, he will profit handsomely from it. The New York Times reported that Romney own’s 51% of Sensata shares through Bain Capital controlled Sensata. "If Sensata saves money by closing the Freeport plant, that could add money to Mr. Romney’s trust accounts, now or after the election.”
This is the same Mitt Romney who on the campaign trail said we shouldn't ship jobs to China and should "crack down" on China trade problems. But he refuses to help or even meet with the Sensata workers whose jobs are being shipped to China. The workers at the plant have reached out to Romney to intervene but to no avail.
The FACT IS - If Mitt Romney REALLY wants to SAVE and CREATE JOBS for American workers, like he's been saying on the campaign trail, then he could start right now in Freeport, Illinois with Sensata Technologies and prove he's not a liar. Why isn't Romney doing that?
