Seems like we've been picking on poor old Mitt Romney a little too much lately. How about we switch for a second to his partner in crime, Paul Ryan?
You know how sometimes you just space-out, and then something just pops into your head like: BOING!!!! Why didn't I put that together before?
Well, there's this guy: Paul Ryan. Congressman from Wisconsin. Vice Presidential Candidate on the Republican ticket with Mitt Romney.
And there's this song: that was written by The Beatles, and performed by a group named Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66 (back around 1968 as I recall. Reached #6 on the Billboard 100.).
The two just naturally go together here now is 2012. It's amazing! One might even call it kismet!
Look at the picture above. There's good ol' Paul Ryan, standing there on Capitol Hill. Nobody seems to know him. That one guy walking past him even seems to be ignoring him. Is Paul winking at him? Well, what worked for Sarah Palin doesn't necessarily work for Paul Ryan does it? Kind of makes Paul look a little foolish, doesn't it?
Now listen to the song, and pay close attention to the words. Then YOU tell me: Is this not a match made in Heaven, or what!
Enjoy!
Fool On The Hill
written by The Beatles, performed by Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66
Day after day
Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the Fool on The Hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
Well on his way
His head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the Fool on The Hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
And nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings
But the Fool on The Hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round
