I've just recently gotten started posting my own articles here on Newsvine (as of August 31st, 2012).  

Shortly after starting with my own Articles I learned how to Seed Links to other articles.  Most recently I figured out how to create Live Polls, and after a couple failed attempts I actually managed to post a video!  (Some of this can be a bit challenging the first time around.)  

So far, I've only managed to post 41 of my own articles, and Seeded 19 Links.  So, I'm still kind of new and learning about this stuff.  I still consider myself a rookie.  As I do these things I come up with questions, like:  

QUESTION:  Why is it that apparently so few people actually Vote for the Articles and Seeds?  

I ask that because I noticed that some of my articles have gotten no votes at all, other than the one I gave myself to get the ball rolling.  And other articles seem to have a lot of comments but very few votes.  

When I really noticed this was when I posted my first Live Polls, and discovered that even though I had over One Hundred Votes on one of my Live Polls, my actual Article Vote total was only 15.  Wow!  Over 85 people came to my article, voted in the Live Poll, and left without voting for my article.  Hmmm?  

QUESTION:  Why do so many people apparently NOT bother to Vote Up the articles they visit and read?   

Corollary QUESTION:  What's the point of having the "Article Voting" feature at all if few people use it?  

Also, I have noticed that a lot of people have a lot of Friends on these Vines.  I started sending out FR's (Friend Requests) to people who commented on my articles and seeds, who seemed like nice folks even if they disagreed with me.  Fortunately, most of the FR's I sent out have been accepted.  Some haven't.  That's to be expected I suppose.  

But, some of the FR's I sent out, that were accepted, caused me to go visit those Viner's articles, where I left my comments for them to read.  Again, fortunately most of them responded to my comments, but a few of them have completely ignored my comments on their articles, which makes me wonder why they accepted my FR in the first place.  

QUESTION:  If you accept a FR from someone, and they come to your article and leave a comment for you, isn't it natural for you to leave them some kind of response in return?  

Corollary QUESTION:  If you go to a Friend's article, and leave a comment for them, and they ignore you and your comments completely, is it okay to DELETE them from your Friends List?  

I have more questions, but I'll leave at these for right now, and see what kind of help they turn up.  

Oh wait!!!  

Also one last question about Friend Requests...  

QUESTION:  If I send out a FR and it's NOT accepted for over a week or more after I sent it, should I just DELETE it or leave it out there, and for how long?  

I appreciate your help and opinions on this.
