Can somebody explain the GOP/Tea Party Mind Set to Me?
The reason I ask is because I engaged in a series of comments back and forth with one of "them" where I really tried to get him to read a second opinion from a fairly reliable source, and for whatever reason he just refused to do it, even after multiple pleadings on my part. I can't decide if he refused to go to the other site for the truth because:
A. He was too lazy to do so, which is really super-lazy because it's just a few clicks.
B. Or, perhaps he was just too stupid to go to the other source, because he'd already been programmed by his handlers to only do what they instruct him to do, think what they tell him to, and not actually do any real thinking on his own.
C. Or, could this third alternative be the reason, in that a liar wants to lie, and if he actually finds out the truth - then passing off the lie might just be too difficult to keep doing, and so learning the truth must be avoided at all costs, because he likes to lie.
I won't repeat all the details of each and every message between me and him, because that would be way too much and far too boring. (Plus, it might be considered unfair of me to reveal his identity, and I do not want to seem to be unfair here.)
So here's how it went...
I happened to read a comment under an article about the "birther" issue from a person we shall refer to as Commentor-111, who wrote:
"during president Obama first campaign he promised to have a transparent administration. when this issue first came up about the birth certificate , he acted like ever other sleazy politician and dragged his heel and dodged the question. Two year later all he had to do was send one of his clerk to Hawaii and they gave it to him. why?"
Well, anyone who's done any checking on the birth certificate issue knows that statement is a lie. A stupid lie. So I commented back:
"Commentor-111, you are either a liar or you've been had by a liar, which would make you a gullible dupe.
Here's the truth, and it's been easily available to everyone since August 2008, BEFORE Obama was elected to his first term."
I included the Summary of an article and this link to the actual article: http://factcheck.org/2008/08/born-in-the-usa/
Apparently that was enough to do the trick for Commentor-111, because he never wrote back. But this other GOP/Tea Party type did. And we shall refer to him as Commentor-222, and he wrote:
"A true leader who cared about all citizens & not just the ones who blindly voted for him, would have addressed the Birth Certificate issue in a few days not years. All he had to do was allow a government employee to pick up a copy. All we had before the election was Nancy Pelosi (pass it to see what's in it) telling us she had seen it & it was O-tay."
"What a simple thing to answer concerns of citizens."
If Commentor-222 would have read the background info at the link I provided he would have known, like Commentor-111 possibly did, that Obama's team did provide his birth certificate almost six months BEFORE the election in 2008. And that's what I replied, also asking him to reread comment #447 and go the the link to read the truth. Commentor-222 did not go to the link. Instead he replied,
"Then why did it take the Obama to officially release such an odd copy 18 months later?
If it was really already out it would have been a simple cut & paste. The media coverage of the release well into his term would have never happened."
You know, at first glance I could NOT believe his reply, because I had just told him that Obama did do exactly what he said Obama should have done. And, if Commentor-222 would have read the article at the link I provided he would have known that. Which makes it so obvious that the moron did not bother to check out the link, so I gave it to him again in my reply, I wrote…
"Quit being STUPID and READ the dang article will you?
Did he read the link this time? Obviously not! Commentor-222 stupidly replied with this absolutely moronic comment:
"Bruce, just because you say so, & it is now on the Internet, is no reason to see your info as the truth."
Hey! It wasn't just me "saying so!" I gave him the link a second time. And it's been on the internet since August 2008, not just recently. All Commentor-222 had to do was click on the link and read. Too much trouble for him to do something as simple as that I guess, so he just exhibits his stupidity with the comment above and a couple other sentences of imbecilic nonsense.
Well, this time I had to point out the obvious in detail for old Commentor-222. So I wrote this in reply…

Did you even take just a few seconds to scan the article?

Because you don't want to be confused by the FACTS!

You know what Commentor-222 did? He didn't prove me wrong. Instead, he proved himself to be a complete lazy moron, by admitting that yet again he did NOT even bother to go to the link to read the truth. Commentor-222 wrote this in reply…

You know, if he would have read the article at the link I provided, he would have known that the Obama team did address the birther concerns when they first came up in June 2008. But dumb old Commentor-222 just proved again what a complete idiot he was being, by refusing to check out the link.
So I wrote back,
"Just READ THE DAMN ARTICLE, almost all of the supporting references are dates BEFORE the November 2008 election. Whoever is telling you that the official information was not released until 18 months later is LYING TO YOU, and YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE LIES because apparently you are just too damn lazy to check out the facts for yourself, even though I have given them to you at the link.
QUIT BEING A MORON!
And, as you can see, I gave him the link once again, for the THIRD TIME.
Third time's a charm right? Nope!!! Not in the case of Commentor-222.
This time he wrote back a real doozie! Commentor-222 wrote this…
"Again, thanks for the name calling ya Doodie Head.
"The Article" written "By NBC News staff and wire services" who also errors MSNBC - the all Obama channel has a large liberal / democrat basses, spending a great deal of time editing things to Obama's benefit.
Now he's calling me a name, "Doodie Head" which caused me to laugh out loud for quite some time before I was able to read the rest of his moronic comment, in which he referred to the original article that these comments fall under. He did NOT ever refer to the article I linked for him Three Times to FactCheck.org. Had he gone to the FactCheck.org article even one of the many times I asked and challenged him to, he would have found the TRUTH.
Plus, he posted yet another nonsense comment #449, in which he recapped the original article by NBCNEWS and apparently added some of his own unsupported nonsense to it. And he wraps it up with this gem of a statement:
"My entire point was the time it took to address citizens questions. Pelosi said she saw the long form so it was fine, no need to question any further. Can you see the problem... Will you only question conservative leaders?"
That's an amazing comment coming from someone who absolutely refused to even take a few minutes to look at the article on FactCheck.org, and ONLY accepts what his conservative propaganda programmers had told him to believe, and not do any thinking for himself.
This is why I felt completely justified in my final comment to Commentor-222 with my comment #450, which reads...
This is why I have no problem at all calling you Commentor-222 a Moron, which is NOT a name, but an accurate description of what YOU are.
The "article" that I recommended you read was NOT written by NBC or MSNBC, it was written by FactCheck.org, which is...
"a nonpartisan, nonprofit "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics."
If you would have taken just a few minutes, from the several times I suggested you read that article, you might have learned something. But you didn't. That is obvious. Thus, you are a MORON, because you refuse to educate yourself, and prefer to stay stupid and uninformed.

But, this is all good, because I am going to turn this entire exchange into an article and post it on my columns page, under the working title, "Why Are GOP Tea [Partiers] so Damn Stupid" ...
So, thanks ... You prove my point that people like you just don't want to be bothered by the facts, truth, or honestly, and would rather accept the lies your masters are shoving down your throats, that you seem to eagerly eat up.
Which all brings me to why I have written this article, to ask you dear reader…
QUESTION: Is Commentor-222 just lazy, or is he really stupid, or is he simply being a pathological liar because he can't help himself or he really wants to be a liar?
I mean, after all, I challenged him to read the facts from FactCheck.org several times. I provided him the link three times. Yet, in all that he never once bothered to go to FactCheck.org to actually read what might have cleared this up in the first place. (And apparently did clear it up for Commentor-111.)
Isn't this exactly the same as what happened when the Obama people provided Barack Obama's birth certificate in June 2008, almost six months BEFORE the election, and yet the GOP/Tea Partiers lied about it then, and they're still lying about it now, saying that Obama did not release his birth certificate until 18 months after he was elected, which is clearly a completely stupid lie. A stupid lie that Commentor-222 is repeating without even bothering to see if it's true or not, because it's not!
So, why are the GOP/Tea Partiers being so deliberately lazy, stupid liars? Do they think it helps their cause any? We all know they're lying. They know they're lying too, but they feign ignorance as if that gives them some kind of an excuse to be morons. It really doesn't help them or their cause at all, but some how they think it does.
How is a person supposed to deal with people like this?
There's an old saying that goes: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
I had this old army buddy who used to follow that up with: Yep! That's true enough, but you can always shove the horse's head into the water and suck on his ass!
Who's going to suck on their asses to get them to drink in the truth? Because it ain't gonna be me! You? Who!
